Like New Condition 2008 Gibson Custom Shop J-45 Macasser Ebony Master Archetype, #3/6. Drop dead gorgeous Macassar Ebony back and sides, stunning Sitka top. Includes OHSC. This is an incredibly rare, incredibly desirable, incredibly magical sounding J-45 the likes of which you may never see or hear again. The workmanship from the Gibson Custom Shop, under the supervision of Ren Ferguson (see photo of the special Certificate above, 2nd page of photos), is superb. Mr. Ferguson selected eye-popping Macassar Ebony back and sides, a gorgeous Sitka top and added a beautiful herringbone surround. While the typical Mahogany J-45 is bright and punchy sounding emphasizing the mid-bass, the Macassar Ebony (like Zircotte and Brazilian Rosewood) is a dense, premium tonewood which imparts a deep, crystal clear bass response, distinct mids and sparkling highs, not unlike a Steinway grand. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a truly stellar looking and sounding instrument. Specs include Macassar Ebony bridge, Ebony fingerboard, bone nut and saddle, open-back nickel three per side Kluson style tuners w/ivoroid buttons, 1 3/4" nut, Banner Logo ("Only a Gibson is good enough"), and the Gibson OHSC, special Master Archetype Custom Certificate signed by Ren Ferguson.
