Near Mint condition, 1997 handmade Tippin OMT, Indian Rosewood back and sides, Sitka top, Mahogany neck, ebony fretboard w/MOP snowflake inlays, 14 frets to the body, ebony bridge, ivory nut and compensated saddle, tortoise pickguard, white plastic purfling w/herringbone inlay on top, colorful abalone rosette, nickel open-back Waverly vintage style tuners, deluxe OHSC. Superb balanced tone, surprisingly strong bass from an OM guitar and the craftsmanship is exquisite! I discovered Bill Tippin's guitars about a year ago and was immediately very impressed with his approach to building guitars...the workmanship is second to none...and the tone is outstanding! The Tippin Guitar Company is located in Marblehead, MA where Mr. Tippin and a small group of assistants produce a small number or high quality, handmade guitars each year since 1978. If you are fortunate enough to own one of these jewels you will understand why we are living in the Golden Age of Guitar Building! |
